Which Are Better - Front or top-loading washing machines?
We are often asked this. Our answer is neither is better; both have advantages and disadvantages. Front-load machines can be stacked or put under a countertop. But front-load machines can have odor issues and can vibrate. Top loading machines rarely have odor issues and rarely vibrate. Top loaders are best when you have large amounts of laundry. What is best is really what suits your needs!
I have an odour issue in my washing machine. Do I need a service call?
The number one cause of odors is the overuse of soap. Excess soap does not go down the drain. Instead, it stays between the inner and outer tub. Over time this unused soap will mold. You should only use two tablespoons of soap for a full load. To get rid of excess soap, use an Affresh tablet from your local Home Hardware store, mixed in a little hot water. Most front load washers have a coin trap attached to the pump. This should be cleaned out as the trap can collect hair, fuzz, and other objects.

Yes, we invite contractors to call us and discuss your current building project. We work with strata owners, contractors, rental property owners, and residential customers. If it’s a kitchen or home renovation, call us first to save the most money on your appliances.
